Sino-French Colloaboratory of Process and Environmental Engineering (1998-2008)

This collaboration was introduced by Daniel Tondeur of Nancy, France with Lingai Luo and Weikang Yuan of Shanghai, menber of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The aim of the collaboration was to enhance the sino-french cooperation in engineering process.

The colloaboration linked up 7 Chinese laboratories which are experts in engineering process and 8 French ones. 13 of the laboratoires inherited the principal of Sino-French Collaboratory of Process and Environmental Engineering and thus created LIA-LES in Jan. 1 2007. The collaboration was supported by CNRS, Chinese Embassy in France and French Embassy in China. There were dozens of projects between the two countries and more than 40 exchange scholars have achieved their studies thanks to the collaboration.

The first Annual Meeting was held in October 1999 in Paris and the meeting was honored by the minister of Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection. The 6 following Annual Meetings were held succesively in Beijing, Lyon, Shanghai, Perpignan-Odeillo, Dalian and Toulouse, with more than 40 participants each meeting
